Quick start

Your first request,
one step at a time.

A short guide to the inject.fi API workflow. Start with access details, choose your model, and prepare a request.

01

Get your access details

Request access from inject.fi. Confirm the current model catalog, usage conditions, API endpoint, and how requests will be handled.

Contact inject.fi ↗
02

Store your API key

Use an environment variable such as INJECT_FI_API_KEY on your application server. Do not place the key in public frontend code.

03

Choose your model ID

Use the exact API model ID supplied with your access details. The example uses YOUR_MODEL_ID as a placeholder.

04

Send and review

Send your request, check the HTTP status, handle errors, and evaluate the generated output before using it.

curl https://api.inject.fi/v1/chat/completions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $INJECT_FI_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"model":"YOUR_MODEL_ID","messages":[{"role":"user","content":"Hello, inject.fi."}]}'
Use your own issued API key and model ID. Keep keys on your server.
Integration example. This page shows the request structure. A working connection requires issued credentials, a confirmed model ID, and an active API endpoint.

WHEN YOU NEED A HAND

A few useful answers.

Where do I find my API key?

Contact the inject.fi team for access details. An API key is not created or revealed on the public marketing website.

What should I send when reporting an API issue?

Describe the problem and include the request time, model ID, and HTTP status if available. Do not send your full API key, passwords, or sensitive prompt content.

What does an authentication error mean?

Check that the request includes an issued key in the Authorization header, that it has not expired or been revoked, and that you are using the confirmed API endpoint.

Can I send confidential or sensitive information?

Ask inject.fi about the applicable API data-processing terms before sending confidential, personal, or regulated information. The website privacy policy covers this public website; it does not promise specific model-provider retention terms.
