Inference explained

Big word.
Simple idea.

Inference is the step where a trained model turns your input into an output. A question becomes an answer. A brief becomes a draft. A prompt becomes a useful first step.

What happens in a request?

Your application sends a prompt and chooses a model. The system runs the model on computing hardware and returns the generated output to your application.

An API provides the connection. You work with a request format instead of configuring the computing hardware that runs the model.

What about the GPUs?

Many modern models use GPUs to perform the calculations behind an answer. Renting a GPU gives you direct control over a machine and makes you responsible for selecting, deploying, and operating the model.

Managed inference is a different service: you request the model output through an API. The public inject.fi offering on this website is model access, rather than a dedicated GPU rental service.

THE SHORT VERSION

Input goes in.
Possibility comes out.

Start with a prompt that explains the task, relevant context, and the kind of response you want.

AN EXAMPLE INPUT

“Turn these notes into a clear project outline, with three practical next steps.”

FROM IDEA TO APPLICATION

Inference is one step.
Your idea is the rest.

The useful part comes from what you build around the response: a simple interface, the right context, a careful review, and a workflow that helps someone.

02 / INJECT.FI APIYour selected model
03 / BACK TO YOUR APPLICATIONA response to build on.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A little more clarity.

Do I need to train a model first?

Using a hosted model through an API usually does not require training a model. You provide the input for each request.

Does model output always get things right?

No. Generated output can contain errors. Review it, test it, and verify facts before relying on it.

Is GPU rental available from this website?

This website describes inject.fi model access through an API. It does not list GPU hardware inventory, dedicated-server rentals, or hardware rental prices.

Where can I see the request format?

Read the inject.fi quick-start guide for the illustrative request structure and access steps.

Your next idea starts here.

Explore the models, understand the API, and take the first step with inject.fi.
